Hello and welcome! I am Jessica and I grew up in New Zealand and migrated to the Sunshine Coast Australia in 2009. Originally, I studied and worked as a landscape architect. I find inspiration in the natural and built landscape and its inhabitants. My passion for nature and how people live within it is reflected in my illustrations and artworks. 

Working mostly in mixed media using acrylic paints, oil pastels, pencils and collage pieces, I enjoy building scenes that reward the viewer, where birds, animals and people are all going about their business within the same scene. I like to create playful imagined creatures and paint all kinds of sea life and dinosaurs.

Paddle Steamer Pearl published by National Library Australia is my first picture book and will be released in November 2026. I currently live on the Sunshine Coast with my partner and 6 year old boy who has a wonderful imagination and is a never ending source of inspiration.
